Short version: we collect what we need to send you biltong, and nothing else. We don't sell your information to anybody.
What we collect

Why we collect it
- To take your payment and send you your order
- To email you a receipt and tracking
- To get in touch if there's a problem with your order
- To send you occasional updates, but only if you asked us to
Who else sees it
Only the services we need to run the shop:
- Stripe — processes your payment and stores your card details securely, not us
- NZ Post — gets your name and address so they can deliver your parcel
- Vercel — hosts this website
We don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone. We don't run advertising trackers on this site.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it. If you've joined our email list, we keep your address until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it's wrong. Email sales@blairsbiltong.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Cookies
This site doesn't set tracking or advertising cookies. Your shopping cart is held in your browser's memory only and disappears when you close the tab. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
